In forty five years of my experience in the Art of Taekwondo as Founder and Father of Taekwondo in India and after qualifying as an International Master Instructor in 1982 and International (Olympic) Referee in 1983, it has been my desire to write a comprehensive “Taekwondo Textbook” on the Art of Taekwondo for the benefit of those who do not have the opportunity to train under a dedicated Master. In this context, the theory and practice with this “Taekwondo Textbook” will provide a shortcut to the trainee’s ability and elite Taekwondo experts. Although there are many books on Martial Art such as Judo, Karate, Kung-fu etc, not on Taekwondo. This is the first “Taekwondo Textbook” in India, which spots light on a series of scientific researches on Taekwondo including a wide range of techniques for the Instructors and Trainees as well.

In preparing this “Taekwondo Textbook” almost after ten (10) years, I have endeavored to use maximum text with pictorial sequences having a special focus on the latest techniques through a systematic arrangement of illustrations, so that the reader can begin his/her training immediately without spending too much of time in content learning.

I wish to express my appreciation to all my senior students, master and instructors who are with me and assisted me in a way or the other in making these books a success.
